- 29-35cm in length
- 300-600g average weight
- Plumage may vary considerably with a mixture of whites and greys to red/brown and black, iridescent plumage on neck area
Habits and behaviour:
- Will roost/nest on or in buildings, often under eaves, on girders, ledges, hollows, etc.
- Feed on spillage at food factories, scraps, of bread, cake and grain and seed fed by the public
